Regulations on International Students' Dormitory of
Southwest Medical University
西南医科大学在校留学生须遵守以下寝室管理规定：International students in Southwest Medical University (SWMU) applying for living in the dormitory shall abide by the following regulations.
费用Fees
1. 房费按房间收取。学生单独入住一个房间则应付所有房费，两名学生入住一个房间则每人承担一半。Room fee is charged by rooms. Student who stays in a room alone should pay all the room fee. If two students share a room, every student should pay half of the room fee.
2 学生应及时付房租、电费及其他相关费用。原则上，房费按学年收取，电费应在每月5号之前付清，如超过10号未交清电费则可能导致停电。/ Students should pay room fee, electricity bill and relevant fees on time. Principally, room fee should be paid by school year and electricity fee should be paid before 5th of each month. Failure to pay the electricity fee after 10th might lead to power cut-off.
房间及配套设施Rooms & Supplementary Installations
1. 所有学生须持本人的有效身份证件（如护照等）办理住宿登记并交纳住房押金1000元人民币。退房时如房间设备、物品保持完好，学生可获得全额押金退款。退款时必须交回押金收据。All students should check in with valid ID (such as passport) and pay RMB 1000 as deposit. Students will get full deposit refund if no damage or lost of facilities is caused and the room is maintained in clean and tidy status when check out. Deposit receipt must be presented when claiming refund.
2. 所有学生入住时应仔细检查房间物品，退房时如有损坏应予以赔偿。学生入住时应自备床上用品。Students should check all items and facilities upon checking-in. Any damaged or lost of items or facilities will be compensated by the student. Students should prepare their own beddings.
3. 学生应及时报告任何需修理事项。Students should report any repairs or defects promptly.
4. 学生应遵守有关防火规定，严禁在床上吸烟。严禁在房间内使用烹饪设备，严禁使用大功率电器。学生科、保卫处、公寓管理中心会定期组织寝室检查，大功率电器一经查获即收缴。对违反规定着按相关规定给予处罚。 Students should following the regulations of fire prevention. Smoking on bed is strictly prohibited. Any cooking devices or high-power-consumption devices in the room is prohibited. Students Affairs office, Security Department, Dormitory Administration Center will conduct room inspection at a random time, any been inspected will be confiscated. The violation will lead to punishment according to concerned regulations.
5. 学生应服从宿舍管理员安排，不允许擅自调换寝室，不允许私自向外出租寝室或床位。The room applicants shall accept the room arranged by the dormitory administrator, and the applicants are not allowed to exchange rooms or to rent rooms to others privately.
6. 学生如需申请单独住宿或者调换房间需在每年7月份向学生科申请，在得到批准后9分月可调换寝室。其他时段不接受学生申请。Student who wishes to take a single room or change room can apply to Student Affairs Office in July each year. If permitted, the student can change the room in September. Application in the other months of the year will not be considered.
7. 离开房间时，确保所有的电器电源切断。Make sure to power off all the electric appliance (air-conditioner, lights and water heater, etc) before leaving your room.
8. 为防止可能的危险和灾难，电磁炉，热得快，电加热器等均禁止使用。To prevent from possible accidents and damages, the electrical stove, the instant water-heater (Re De Kuai), and the electrical heater are forbidden to be used in the dormitory.
钥匙管理Keys
1. 房间钥匙不允许多配或转借他人。Room keys are not permitted to be duplicated or loaned to others.
2. 钥匙丢失，应立即向宿舍管理员汇报，配钥匙的费用由学生支付，或者从押金中扣除。The loss of the keys should be reported to the dormitory administrator immediately and the cost of a new lock shall be paid by the resident or be deducted from the deposit.
寝室开放时间和探视管理Opening Hours & Visiting Management
1. 寝室大门在晚上12点到凌晨6点关闭。除非火灾、地震紧急事故，学生不得以任何理由让管理员开门。The gate to the international students dormitory is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. During this period if you need to open the gate in case of emergency like fire or earthquake, please call the Administration Office of Dormitory.
2. 在寝室关闭时间不允许外来人员探视。宿舍管理员有权要求探视人员离开。 Visiting is declined over the closing time and the dormitory administrator is authorized to ask the visitors to leave after the closing hours.
公共环境卫生Public Environment
1. 学生有权保持宿舍整洁。Residents are supposed to keep their rooms tidy and clean, and the co-resident is responsible for the cleaning of the public space by turns.
2. 不允许喂养宠物。Pets raising is prohibited in rooms.
3. 不得随处扔垃圾。垃圾应入库。如果垃圾被倒入下水道等公共设施，维修费用应由全体宿舍学生承担。如果垃圾倒入别人的冰箱等私人物品以内，维修费用应由倒垃圾的人员承担。Littering is prohibited and residents should put their rubbish at the prescribed places. If garbage and hard things are dumped into the sewage system or other public facilities, the cost incurred from dredging should be borne by the resident. If garbage and hard things are dumped into the air-conditioner or other private things, the fixation fee shall be borne by the one who dumped the garbage.
公共安全Public Security
1. 禁止在寝室吸毒，一经发现，随即没收，并进行处罚。Hazardous drugs or medicines are prohibited into rooms and shall be confiscated and punished upon discovery.
2. 禁止在寝室存放易燃易爆物品，一经发现，随即没收，并进行处罚。Inflammable and explosive objects are prohibited into rooms and shall be confiscated and punished upon discovery.
3. 禁止在寝室使用中华人民共和国公安局所禁止的管制刀具，一经发现，随即没收，并进行处Knives defined by Public Security Bureaus in People’s Republic of China as controlled knives are prohibited into rooms and shall be confiscated and punished upon discovery.罚。
4. 禁止在寝室吸烟饮酒。Do not drink alcohol or drinks containing alcohol in rooms. No smoking in rooms.
